According to reports from talkSPORT this morning, La Liga prodigy Dani Ceballos is set to snub interest from Arsenal and Liverpool to sign a new contract with Real Betis.

The 19 year-old midfielder played a pivotal role in Betis’ escape from the Spanish second division last term, bagging five goals in 33 appearances.

He’s yet to have the same sort of impact during the 2015/16 campaign but has found one assist in six La Liga outings – three of which have come from the subs bench.

But Ceballos remains highly rated throughout Spanish football, having already registered 17 youth caps for La Roja and become a regular fixture for their U21 side.

According to talkSPORT, who cite Spanish publication AS, Arsenal and Liverpool are both keen on Ceballos and hoping to bring him to the Premier League for a relatively nominal fee.

But he now looks set to pen an improved contract with Betis, ruling out the possibility of a January transfer. However, his new deal is expected to include an £11million release clause – well within the financial reach of both Premier League clubs.
