According to reports from The Express this afternoon, the agent of PSG midfielder Marco Verratti has valued his client at a whopping €100million.

The 22 year-old is widely regarded as one of the most talented centre-mids in Europe and has been compared in style to iconic playmaker Andrea Pirlo, boasting a pass completion rate of 93% from his nine Ligue 1 appearances this season.

The Italy international, who measures in at just 5 foot 5, has attracted plenty of admirers during his three years at Parc de Princes, in which he’s helped the Parisians claim three consecutive league titles, two Coupes de la Ligue and one Coupe de France, not least including Premier League duo Arsenal and Manchester United.

Indeed, The Express claim both were interested in signing Verratti during the summer and continue to list him as an ‘Arsenal and Manchester United target’. But the British tabloid also reveal that the former Pescara star’s agent has now valued him at an eye watering €100million – comparing his situation to that of in-demand Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

He told France Football; “If Kevin De Bruyne signs for Manchester City for €80 million, then €100 million for Marco does not seem unreasonable. I hear here and there that Pogba is €100m. For me, Verratti is worth as much”

Verratti’s current contract with the French champions doesn’t expire until summer 2019.
