Real Madrid scouting Man United star; Arsenal talisman wants pay rise

|

Out - David De Gea

According to reports from Marca, Real Madrid are continuing to scout Manchester United No.1 David De Gea; whilst Goal claim Alexis Sanchez wants to sign an improved contract at Arsenal.

The Spanish publication report that Real Madrid intend to offer Keylor Navas a new contract as reward for the Costa Rica international’s excellent form since his move to Manchester United – which would have seen David De Gea go the other way – collapsed during the summer.

However, Marca insist that hasn’t ended Los Blancos’ interest in the Spain goalkeeper and he is still ‘on the shortlist of the players being scouted’ by the European giants – with his impressive showing against Ukraine during the international break particularly catching their eye.

Meanwhile, Goal reveal that Alexis Sanchez, who has scored six goals in ten Premier League appearances this season, is keen to open talks with Arsenal over an improved contract.

They claim the Chile international wants to become the north London outfit’s best paid player, a status currently enjoyed by attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil.

The £130k per-week earner is also behind Theo Walcott, who signed a £140k per-week contract during the summer, and now wants a salary that better reflects his importance within the Gunners starting Xi. Sanchez’ current terms expire in summer 2018.
