According to reports from The Express yesterday evening, the agent of in-demand winger Felipe Anderson has revealed he’s ‘unhappy’ with his limited playing time at Lazio this season.

The 22 year-old’s superlative form last term, bagging ten goals and seven assists in just 23 Serie A starts, saw him ascend to the Brazil national team fold, receiving a debut cap against Mexico in June, and attract interest from some of the Premier League’s top clubs – particularly Chelsea and Manchester United.

Indeed, both are keen admirers of the £30million-rated winger and the Red Devils reportedly launched a bid just shy of that valuation during the final week of the transfer window.

Anderson had insisted earlier in the summer that he would be staying at Stadio Oympico for the 2015/16 campaign. But according to The Express, it hasn’t worked out as planned thus far, with the South American prodigy restricted to featuring from the bench during Lazio’s opening three league fixtures – amassing just 81 minutes out of a possible 270.

Agent Juliana Gomes has revealed his client’s disappointment, stating; “He was benched again and I don’t know the reason, but he showed his mettle. Now we expect him to be regularly deployed by the coach.

“A player with the potential and capabilities of Felipe Anderson cannot be happy otherwise. He is upset, but he has responded on the field with good football.”

Of course, that doesn’t mean the Selacao starlet’s Lazio career is over just yet. But if the ambiguity over his first team role if it continues into the new year, Anderson’s Premier League suitors could look to capitalise when the transfer window reopens in January.
