According to reports from Mirror Football this morning, Manchester United are preparing a £92.5million bid for Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.

The former Red Devil left Old Trafford for the Bernabeu in 2009 and has since affirmed his status as one of leading entities in world football alongside Barcelona rival Lionel Messi; winning three Ballon d’Ors, the 2014 Champions League title and amassing a rather incredible 321 goals in 307 appearances for Los Blancos – leaving him just two strikes shy of Raul’s all-time top scorer record.

But reports earlier this month claimed that the Portugal international could leave the Spanish capital at the end of the season when his contract will enter it’s final two years. He’s reportedly agreed an ‘entente cordial‘ with manager Rafa Benitez whilst searching for a new club, amid growing tensions between the two.

And according to Mirror Football, who cite Spanish publication Fichajes, United are now preparing a world-record bid to sign the 30 year-old next summer – a whopping £92.5million.

Along with the Red Devils, PSG have been continuously linked with Ronaldo in recent months.
