According to reports from The Daily Star this morning, Julian Draxler’s agent has dismissed reports linking the Schalke attacker with a move to Juventus.
The 21 year-old exploded onto the scene with 13 goals in 39 appearances across all competitions during the 2012/14 campaign – including ten strikes in the Bundesliga – and despite struggling to rekindle that scoring form since, is widely regarded as one of the most exciting prospects in European football.

Schalke allegedly plan to cash in on the German international this summer, who featured in Die Mannschaft’s 7-1 semi-final romping of Brazil at the 2014 World Cup, as they seek to refresh a squad that missed out on Champions League qualification last term.
It’s thought that long-term admirers Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United could all resultantly decide to revive their interest in the 6 foot 2 forward, whilst reports yesterday evening linked him with a move to Serie A champions Juventus.
But Draxler’s agent, Roger Witmann, has dismissed the notion of a Turin switch – despite being spotted in Italy.
“I’m in Italy,” Witmann told Tuttomercatoweb, as quoted by The Daily Star. “But I don’t know anything about Julian Draxler and a move to Juventus. He plays for Schalke 04, you’d have to ask them, these are just rumours.”
The Bundesliga outfit’s valuation of Draxler is yet to be revealed – but his contract is known to include a £37million release clause.
