Zlatan Ibrahimovic

According to reports from ESPN this morning, PSG are preparing to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic with Cristiano Ronaldo when the Sweden international’s contract expires next summer.

Real Madrid have dismissed reports of the three-time Ballon d’Or winner leaving the Bernabeu in the current transfer window, despite rumours of a potential move to PSG or Manchester United.

But the French champions believe they may have better luck ahead of the 2016/17 campaign, when the world-class Portuguese will be 31 years of age.

They view him as a star-studded replacement to the ageing Zlatan Ibrahimovic – suggesting they’re willing to let the iconic 6 foot 5 front-man leave on a free transfer when his contract expires next summer.

Which is great news for Premier League foursome Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United, who were all linked to the former AC Milan and Barcelona star last week – as reported by This Is Futbol – amid rumours he could leave Parc de Princes for just £11million.

It appears Ibra’s English suitors will now have to hold on until next summer – but they can then sign the enigmatic forward for nothing.
