Right Wing - Gareth Bale

According to reports from The Express this morning, Manchester United are prepared to pay up to £100million to sign Real Madrid star Gareth Bale this summer.

The 25 year-old boasts an impressive return of 39 goals in 87 appearances for Los Blancos and helped them clinch the 2014 Champions League title last summer.

But he’s bore the brunt of criticism from the Bernabeu fanbase this season, leading to suggestions he could return to the Premier League in the coming transfer window.

The Daily Mail revealed earlier this week that Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are all keen to sign the former Tottenham talisman – who claimed the PFA Young Player of the Year, PFA Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year awards during his ultimate Premier League campaign.

But according to The Express, United intend on blowing their rival suitors out of the water with football’s first ever £100million transfer – which would break the £87million record fee Real Madrid paid to sign Bale from Spurs back in summer 2013.

However, they’re waiting for a clear signal of his desire to leave the European champions.

  • Jonathan Grosskopf says:

Why buy a left footed player who cant head or shoot with his right foot.
Bale will never be world class like Ronaldo or Messie. Even his goals per game ration is not world class either when compared to the other2.
