Gareth Bale

According to reports from Mirror Football yesterday evening, winger Gareth Bale is determined to stick it out Real Madrid and will  resultantly turn down offers from Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United this summer.

Despite boasting a respectable return of 39 goals in 89 appearances for Los Blancos and helping them clinch last season’s Champions League title, the Welsh wizard has bore the brunt of supporter disillusionment at the Bernabeu this term after a string of tepid performances.

Premier League trio Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are all considered to be the 25 year-old’s likeliest suitors – as This Is Futbol revealed last month – with some sources claiming the Red Devils are preparing a £100million summer bid – as This Is Futbol reported in a separate article.

But Mirror Football claim Bale has far from given up on his dream of becoming a Real Madrid icon. They say he has ‘no intention of quitting’ this summer, and wants to stay on for at least another season.

Whether the Bernabeu management will show the same level of patience, however, or decide to cash in on the former Tottenham star, remains to be seen.
