According to a report from talkSPORT this morning, Arsenal could lose out on rumoured target Pedro to rival suitors Inter Milan this summer.

The Spain international has been a central figure for both club and country over the last eight years, winning the 2010 World Cup and 2012 European Championship with La Roja and two Champions Leagues, 2009 and 2011, with current side Barcelona.

This season, however, despite a prolific return of 19 goals last year, Pedro’s place in the Catalans’ starting line-up has been taken from him by summer signing Luis Suarez, resulting in just twelve out of a possible 28 starts in La Liga.

Arsenal were one of the clubs believed to be interested in the 27 year-old winger-forward, but talkSPORT claim a move to the San Siro is now much more likely – with midfielder Mateo Kovacic going the other way.

The 20 year-old has emerged as one of the most sought-after youngsters in Europe this season, having netted five goals in 20 Serie A starts, with Manchester United and Liverpool also linked to his services by The Express.

The Croatian international’s agent has adamantly denied his client would move to Anfield this summer, as reported by The Daily Mail. That could well be because a switch to the Nou Camp has already been agreed in secret.
