According to reports from The Daily Mail, Arsenal could sell Jack Wilshere to Manchester City this summer to fund their pursuit of Southampton star Morgan Schneiderlin.

Earlier this week, Arsene Wenger denounced rumours of the England international moving to the Etihad this summer, claiming the Gunners no longer needed to sell their top players to rival Premier League clubs – as reported by us at This Is Futbol.

But The Mail now claim Wenger’s desire to sign Morgan Schneiderlin the summer, adding some much-needed physicality to Arsenal’s midfield, could convince him to part with the 23 year-old.

This season, Schneiderlin has only further cemented his reputation as one of the top enforcers in the Premier League, averaging the third-most tackles per-match, 3.6, of any player in the division.

Ronald Koeman recently admitted the 25 year-old could leave St. Mary’s this summer – as This Is Futbol informed you earlier this week – and would allegedly set the Emirates outfit back around £27million. Conveniently, prior reports from The Daily Mail claim Wilshere is valued at £30million.

Having been with the north London club since the age of nine, however, whether Wilshere would actually want to leave the Emirates this summer remains to be seen.
