Paul Pogba

According to The Express, Chelsea are prepared to offer Juventus not one but two players in exchange for talismanic midfielder Paul Pogba.

Since leaving Manchester United in a free transfer in summer 2012, the France international has emerged as one of the most capable midfielders in Europe, blending brute athleticism with an eloquent touch and a regular supply of goals. This season, he’s netted nine times in all competitions already, totaling his entire output from the 2013/14 campaign.

Resultantly, Pogba’s been mooted with some audacious price-tags, his agent even claiming the 22 year-old will be the next player to break the world-record transfer fee – as reported by ESPN.

And the Premier League leaders are so desperate to get their hands on him they’re now offering two players in exchange – Brazilian duo Oscar and Ramires.

The former is largely regarded as indispensable around Stamford Bridge as a No.10 who not only offers technical quality but also embodies Jose Mourinho’s hardworking ethos, whilst Ramires has become a bit of a spare part this term, managing just eight Premier League starts, and at the age of 28 could be ready for a new challenge.

Regardless of Oscar’s importance, The Express claim Mourinho would part with him to sign Pogba. Should Chelsea lose out on the Frenchman to one of his other many suitors, they’ll target Atletico Madrid’s Koke instead.
