Paul Pogba

As This Is Futbol informed you yesterday afternoon, Chelsea are so keen on Juventus man Paul Pogba they’re prepared to offer two Blues stars – Oscar and Ramires – in exchange for the France international’s services this summer.

Well, now there’s a new twist in the transfer saga according to The Daily Mail. Reports from the British newspaper this morning claim Barcelona will rival the Stamford Bridge outfit’s interest with a £50million offer this summer. Due to their current transfer embargo, however, Barcelona will loan him back to the Turin outfit until the start of the 2016/17 campaign.

Whether that’s enough to land arguably the most desired central midfielder in world football however, remains to be seen. A unique blend of physicality, elegance and netting prowess has seen the 22 year-old emerge as one of Europe’s most formidable talents since leaving Manchester United in a free transfer in summer 2012 – earning him the prestigious Golden Boy award for 2013.

Now on the verge of claiming a third consecutive title with the Old Lady, the Frenchman, often compared with Patrick Vieira, is likely to move on this summer – but his agent has claimed that could take a world-record-breaking transfer fee, as reported by ESPN.
