Can Javier Hernandez help Manchester United sign this long-term transfer target?

Javier HernandezOne of the most disappointing elements of Manchester United’s existence over the last two-or-so seasons is the way that the club has misused (or failed to use) Javier Hernandez. The Mexican ace is one of the most mobile, deadly strikers in the game, but he’s never got a fair look in at Old Trafford.

With players with big price-tags like Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney ahead of him in the pecking order, he’s never going to be a first team regular at Old Trafford. It’s a wonder that he’s hung in there for so long.

Even his Mexican international manager, Miguel Herrera, seems to think that it’s time to move on. Check out these quotes:

“I think [Chicharito] needs to leave. I think [Juventus] would be a good option for him. When a coach doesn’t want you, when you have your best experience, your best moment with them, and now the coach that wanted you is no longer there, it’s time to move.” (Source: The Mirror)

Pretty blunt stuff. It’s interesting that Herrera mentions Juventus. After all, The Mirror recently ran an article that suggested Javier Hernandez could be used as a makeweight to sign long-term transfer target and Juventus star Arturo Vidal.

In other words, The Red Devils could be about to give Javier Hernandez’s career a shot in the arm, whilst at the same time bringing in a top class player. That sounds like a win-win to me.

Vidal is a very exciting footballer. He’s a physical, competitive presence who loves to slide into tackles and he’s also a force going forward. He’s got a lot of energy, so he’s always making late runs into the box, evading defenders and firing off pot-shots. He strikes me as an excellent all-round midfielder.

Isn’t that exactly what Manchester United need at this moment in time? There may not be space in this squad for a good striker like Javier Hernandez, but there’d certainly be room for a top quality midfielder like Arturo Vidal.

What’s your take? Would you swap Javier Hernandez for Arturo Vidal?

I love to see Hernandez in the field of play than any other united striker in the uited pecking order

I agree completely with Mr. Cloke. He just misses to mention the previous manager was stupid and the present seems to filled with prejudice and a brain of stone.
