Is this £13m Brazilian ace the ideal solution for Manchester United?

Everton RibieroWhilst a 2-0 victory over Swansea City is nothing to turn your nose up at, it’s not as though it will fix all of Manchester United’s problems. David Moyes will be well aware how monumental a task he faces at Old Trafford.

He’s inherited a team that’s full of tired legs, lacks inspiration and doesn’t seem to be all that motivated. Under the watchful eye of Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United were capable of just about anything. Under David Moyes, however, the Red Devils have been tactically outclassed time and time again.

I think it’s fair to say that Manchester United lack balance in their midfield. Whilst they have plenty of ball-keepers (Tom Cleverley, Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher and Marouane Fellaini, who’s also a ball winner), they lack a creative edge. David Moyes’ squad contains some of the most gifted strikers in the Premier League, but he’s not getting the most out of them at the moment, because they’re not getting the service they should be.

It comes to something when an 18-year-old is forced to carry the entire creative burden of a so called top team. Whilst the boy in question, Adnan Januzaj, has done a top job, he shouldn’t have to do it alone. Here’s hoping that David Moyes signs some support during the January transfer window.

One of the most exciting players that Manchester United have been linked to is Everton Ribeiro, who was named ‘Player of the Year’ in Brazil’s top flight last season. Given the sheer amount of quality that that nation produces, this accolade must surely come as a real honour.

The Star claims that his club, Cruizero, has recieved two ‘offers’ from English clubs. Could Manchester United be among them? Who are they competing with?

Ribeiro’s agent, Robson Ferriera, spoke recently about his client’s future. Check out these quotes: Let’s first talk with Cruzeiro who owns the federative rights of the player. As the club president said himself, Everton is the ace of the team and was the player who improved the most last season. He was elected by all national sports critics as the best Brazilian player and received the Golden Ball.

“He appreciates that he reached new heights last season. Let’s talk to the board of Cruzeiro to see what we all think and take it from there. Football is dynamic, a lot can happen until January 31st.” (Source: The Star)

That final sentence seems to suggest that a deal could be in the offing here. It’s thought that it could take as much as £13m to make a deal happen. Given his stature in Brazil, the rave reviews he’s been receiving and the potential he’s displayed, that sounds like a good investment.

If Manchester United are looking to add balance to their midfield and take some of the pressure off of Adnan Januzaj, then a move for Everton Ribeiro could be the next best step.

What’s your take? Should Manchester United head to Brazil to fix their creativity problem?

This is the time to act fast. Man U lack quality wide player and here is one begging to come. Rebeiro and Edu should be sign from cruzeiro before other clubs like Real Madrid come into the bidding war.
We dont need to tell DM to take advantage of first buying option to snap up William Carvalho. This are players that could turn man U around.
Finally, either of Gundogan or Draxler should compliment the above and players like Powell and Lingard should be recalled from loan. I am 100% sure that man u will make the first four position.
