Should Arsenal make another bid for this Premier League sensation?

Luis SuarezArsenal are slap, bang in the middle of the toughest series of games of their season. I’m sure that Arsene Wenger and co. wish that they had another top striker at the club to help guide them through it.

Olivier Giroud has done a fine job this season. He’s strong in the air and along the ground, has surprisingly good technical ability and a powerful shot. He’s been doing his part in terms of goals and assists and that’s all that can be asked of him. Unfortunately, he’s just one man. He can’t play every minute of every game this season.

But Arsenal have struggled when they’ve had to give him a rest. That’s because their only other option is Nicklas Bendtner, a player who lacks ambition, motivation and drive. This really showed in Arsenal’s show-down against Chelsea in the Carling Cup. Bendtner swanned around, failing to affect the game, and earned the ‘boos’ of the fans. By the time that Giroud made an appearance, it was too late.

All this goes to show that Arsene Wenger should be drawing up potential targets for the January transfer window. Arsenal need to sign another striker and they need to do it as soon as possible.

But who should they be looking to bring in?

Interestingly enough The Metro recently ran an article with the headline ‘Arsene Wenger refuses to rule out future Arsenal bid for Luis Suarez’. The actual content of Arsene Wenger’s quotes, however, seems a little different:

“The media made the Suarez bids public. I didn’t make anything public. Look, he plays for Liverpool and at the moment he is doing very well. What is important for me is players who play for Arsenal and not those who could play for Arsenal.”

So yes, strictly speaking he doesn’t rule out a move for Suarez, but neither does he explicitly suggest their will be another bid for him. That won’t stop me from crossing my fingers and hoping it happens.

The Metro claim that Arsenal have around £65m cash to spend in the transfer window and that Suarez could cost £45m. In other words, if the interest is genuine, the Gunners could make a deal happen.

It would be quite something for the Gunners to break their transfer record, so soon after spending £42.4m on Mesut Ozil. But doing so would transform Arsenal into one of Europe’s best clubs. Now wouldn’t that be something?

What’s your take? Would you like to see Arsenal put in another bid for Luis Suarez?

Well liverpool will never release d man; so i think more effort should be made on lewadoski or llorente or pato or benzema and balance the arsenal attacking section while also a defensive midfieder(arrogant one) like flamini should be signed also with one central defender for support then the league is theirs
