Everton are set to join Liverpool and Arsenal in the battle to sign Riechedly Bazoer.

TalkSPORT have picked up on a report from Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf which claims that Ronald Koeman is on the trail of the young Ajax midfielder.

Ajax have announced that they are ready to sell Bazoer in January despite the player being under contract until 2020.

Koeman has been frustrated by Everton’s inability to bring in a number of players but is confident that his profile and reputation in Holland can influence Bazoer.

Everton are expected to be one of the busiest clubs in the January transfer window with Koeman determined to put his stamp on the side and at least secure Europa Cup football.

There are question marks over the future of James McCarthy and Ross Barkley with the interest in Bozoer certain to increase the chances of one or both players leaving Goodison next month.

Money is hardly a problem for Everton with new investment in the club but Koeman has struggled to convince potential targets that the club can challenge for honours and reach the Champions League.
