Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte is reportedly eyeing a potential summer transfer move for Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.

The Spurs boss has a track record when it comes to signing players for Tottenham from Italy such as Dejan Kulusevski, Ivan Perisic, Rodrigo Bentancur and Destiny Udogie.

Having just been through another transfer window, the Italian already has a target in mind for the next summer transfer period.

According to a recent report from interlive.it (via TEAMtalk), if Conte remains in charge of Spurs, he’ll look to sign Brozovic in the summer, making an offer of €25m (£22m) or €12m (£10m) plus Japhet Tanganga.

The report also adds that Barcelona may look to secure a deal for the £189k-per-week Croatian in the summer as well.

After making 96 appearances for Dinamo Zagreb, scoring 13 goals and providing 15 assists, the midfielder joined Inter on loan back in January 2015 before becoming a permanent figure at the Italian club in 2016.

During his time with Inter, the 30-year-old has made 303 appearances across all competitions, finding the net 30 times and delivering 37 assists along the way.

Having missed 10 Serie A games this season with a calf and hamstring injury, Brozovic managed to play a big part in Croatia’s World Cup campaign in Qatar, featuring in six of their seven matches.

Across those appearances, the Inter star ended the tournament with the third-highest passing accuracy percentage (88.8%) out of players that made more than one appearance for Croatia.

He also racked up the highest average of blocks per game (1.2) in the squad as well as the fifth-highest for tackles (2.2) and fourth-highest for interceptions per game (0.7).

Lauded for his “outstanding” performances in the World Cup by journalist Dermot Corrigan, it’s easy to see why Conte would want someone like Brozovic, who has made more club appearances (88) under the Spurs boss than any other manager he’s played under throughout his career, in his squad at the north London club.
