Joao Felix, a teammate of Wolves transfer target Felipe, may well have dropped a huge hint that the centre-back is on his way to Molineux.

Journalist Steve Madeley relayed an update from transfer guru Fabrizio Romano that claimed Wolves were interested in bringing in both Matheus Cunha and Felipe from Atletico Madrid when the market reopens.

Discussions are only thought to be at an early stage but it is clear that new boss Julen Lopetegui is intent on strengthening his recently inherited squad.

Now it seems that Felix has dropped a potential easter egg as the speculation surrounding his defensive teammate mounts.

On Instagram, Felipe posted a picture of himself in training in Majadahonda in Spain.

Felix commented saying: ‘It’s going to rain a lot, get ready.’

TIF Thoughts on Felix’s comment…

Do you think Wolves will sign both players?

Now the Portuguese man’s retort could well of been a simple warning to his clubmate Felipe with the water teaming down in the municipality while he himself enjoys Qatar with the rest of his international teammates.

However, it could well be interpreted as a tip of the hat to the weather he is likely to encounter should he move to the Midlands this winter.

The 33-year-old has seemingly been surplus to requirements at the Wanda Metropolitano this season playing just 180 minutes in La Liga.

He has however made over 250 appearances between spells at Porto and Atleti and his experience could prove vital with the Old Gold dealing with a relegation scrap so it will be interesting to see how this one develops.
