ExWHUemployee has reported that West Ham United have had no contact with Marouane Fellaini despite supposed transfer rumours linking him with a sensational London Stadium move.

In the past, the Belgium midfielder – who currently plays for Shandong Taishan in China – was linked with a move to the Irons by Sky Sports. Of course, David Moyes has worked with Fellaini before, signing him twice throughout his managerial career.

In a new report on the matter, Ex has claimed that rumours about West Ham’s apparent interest being sparked again in the January transfer window are simply not true.

The insider explained on The West Ham Way Patreon: “In other news, the club have confirmed that there has been no contact at this point with a former Moyes favourite, Marouane Fellaini’s agent – despite reports elsewhere that there had.

“The Belgium international currently plays in China and is now 35. Moyes worked with him at Everton and then signed him at Manchester United.

“It has been said that if Moyes was to ask for the player (which he hasn’t yet or even indicated there is a chance that he would like to sign him), the club would only consider a short-term appearance-based contract. The club do not expect a deal to happen.”
