Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Manchester United-linked ace Joao Felix will likely be on the move in January.

Reports out of Spain have claimed that the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is working to find a way out of Atletico Madrid for his client.

According to the Express, he is in the crosshairs of the United hierarchy, which could be a potential route out of the Spanish capital for the 23-year-old.

Felix has been reduced to a bit-part role under Diego Simeone, making just five starts in La Liga this season.

And while speaking on The United Stand YouTube channel, Romano has admitted that he could well be on the move.

He said: “From what I’m told, there are good chances for Joao Felix to leave in January.

“It depends on the proposals, but Atleti are open to discuss with clubs for Joao Felix. The relationship between Simeone and Joao Felix is almost broken, so it’s really complicated now for Atletico to continue with Joao Felix.”

In this quiz, we will take a look at who topped the club's scoring charts and when. First, who was United's top scorer this season?

It certainly seems likely that Felix could well be on the move when the market reopens, but whether he ends up at Old Trafford remains to be seen.

He was signed for £112.9m by Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2019 and has gone on to score 33 goals and provide 18 assists in 129 appearances.

His importance to the side has clearly dwindled, and judging by Romano’s comments, it seems that his relationship with his manager is strained beyond repair, so it will be interesting to see if United decide to act on their interest.
