Tottenham Hotspur will definitely be without Richarlison on Wednesday night for their trip to Old Trafford in the Premier League.

This has been claimed by the reliable Alasdair Gold who has been speaking on his YouTube channel following the 2-0 victory against Everton on Saturday.

It was a positive evening in north London for Antonio Conte’s men as they drew level with Manchester City on points in third spot of the table.

However, the result was marred by the calf injury sustained by the Brazilian who was replaced in the early stages of the second half.

And a teary Richarlison was seen after the game in the mixed zone and Gold has confirmed the 25-year-old will not be in the mix for the trip to Manchester on Wednesday:

(1:04:00) “So rubbish for him. The players are all obviously off today [Sunday]. And he will have that scan on Monday, MRI as Conte said. He said he’s definitely out of the United match whatever. I just hope, I hope he can get back. I just feel so sorry for him.”

TIF Thoughts on Gold’s comments…

This is certainly an unwanted issue at Spurs with the Lilywhites in the middle of a busy schedule ahead of the upcoming World Cup.

Have you been impressed with Richarlison?

Yes

Yes

No

No

And with Dejan Kulusevski also sidelined through his own respective injury, it certainly does put a strain on Conte’s options in attack.

However, Spurs did look much improved after Yves Bissouma replaced the Brazilian as the Mali international offered Spurs an extra man in the midfield.

Although Richarlison is yet to get off the mark in the Premier League, he has shown a lot of promise in a Spurs shirt which will have Conte hoping Monday’s scans come back as a positive.

This isn’t a dig at Richarlison OR indeed Deki, but I think our best formation is 3-5-2, and seeing as neither of them are wing backs, where do they fit in?
