Newcastle United are expected to be boosted by the availability of both Kieran Trippier and Bruno Guimaraes on Wednesday against Everton.

This is according to Lee Ryder who has been speaking to Eddie Howe on Tuesday in his latest press conference ahead of the game.

The two Newcastle stars were both seen hobbling off the pitch on Sunday at Old Trafford which has sparked some concerns amid what is a hectic fixture pile-up.

A draw against the Red Devils has seen Howe’s side go into the game against Everton in sixth spot with the potential to rise as high as fifth with three points against Frank Lampard’s side.

And speaking on his latest YouTube video, the reporter provided the news all Newcastle fans will have been hoping for ahead of the Toffees’ trip to Tyneside:

(0:45) “Trippier and Bruno were described as being assessed so they should it sounds like they should be okay. But for Eddie Howe, he knows he’s got a lot of good team spirit going on at the moment, togetherness and unity was there between the supporters at Old Trafford at the end of the game on Sunday and I think the confidence is just so high in the camp at the moment for Newcastle.”

TIF Thoughts on Ryder’s comments…

This will obviously be a huge boost for the Toon. It has been a tough start to the 2022/23 campaign for Howe in terms of injuries proving a major problem.

Alexander Isak is now set to be out until the return following this winter’s World Cup, Allan Saint-Maximin is also injured again and Callum Wilson is an injury ticking time bomb.

So to have both Bruno and Trippier available is huge. The pair have both made a massive impact on Tyneside since arriving and without them as well as Isak and Saint-Maximin it really would pose a Toon side lacking quality.
