Celtic winger Sead Hakšabanovic has been described as looking “absolutely incredible” over the club’s previous two games.

That is according to pundit Kenny Miller, who was speaking on BBC Radio Scotland’s Scottish Football Podcast.

Hakšabanovic played a part in both of Celtic’s wins over the last week, including a full 90 minutes in the side’s 4-0 League Cup victory at Motherwell and 24 minutes in the club’s 4-3 Premiership victory at Hearts this weekend.

The 23-year-old is yet to score for Ange Postecoglou’s side as of yet, but provided an assist in the club’s 6-1 home victory over Hibernian earlier this month.

And Miller believes that the wide-man is “looking a goal threat” in spite of the fact he has not found the back of the net for the Hoops.

He said: “I mean, Hakšabanovic I thought has looked absolutely incredible over the last two games.

“He’s setting up goals, he’s looking a goal threat.”

TIF Thoughts on Miller’s comments…

Whilst Miller may believe that Hakšabanovic is looking like a threat, we would like to see more productivity in terms of goals and assists to cement this point of view.

The 30-time Montenegro international will need to do more than provide a solitary assist to become a regular in Postecoglou’s side, though it does seem that the Australian is prepared to persist with the £1.7m summer signing.

However, an average SofaScore match rating of 7.26 for his Premiership performances would suggest that the Hyltebruk-born winger has performed above expectations when given the opportunity to play, as he boasts the fifth-highest rating in the Celtic squad following the weekend’s result.

Therefore, whilst we think that Hakšabanovic needs to show more in front of goal, we agree with Miller and think that the Montenegrin is looking like a particular threat for the Hoops.
