Mark McAdam has claimed live on Sky Sports that Wolves are looking for a manager who can work with and alongside Jorge Mendes.

Wolves have been left incredibly frustrated both on and off the pitch this season with summer signing Sasa Kalajdzic picking up an ACL injury, results being poor and now two managers have rejected the chance to take up a spot in the dugout.

First, it was Julen Lopetegui who tuned Wolves down due to personal reasons and now Michael Beale, the QPR boss, has rejected their advances in favour of staying in the Championship, which will now force the club back to the drawing board.

McAdam has insisted though, that one thing remains, and that the new manager will have to work well and alongside super agent and key Wolves figure, Mendes.

(1:55) “Of course, they’re now looking for someone to work with one of the superpowers in world football, we know that Jorge Mendes is involved with the football club and he’s very influential with regards to the footballing side of things.”

TIF Thoughts on Wolves’ managerial search…

While many fans were quite vocal and clear they wanted former boss Bruno Lage to be sacked, many may have not expected his successor to have taken this long to find, leaving an inexperienced coach at the helm for a handful of games.

Which former Man United man almost joined Wolves?

Since Lage was sacked, Wolves have won just once in the league and still find themselves very much in a relegation battle sitting inside the bottom three, which will likely put off a number of managers looking at the job from the outside.

If Wolves continue to struggle in their managerial hunt and get knocked back by potential candidates, it could well see them end up with former manager Nuno Espirito Santo, whose reportedly made it clear he’d be willing to come back and manage at Molineux, despite being in a job out in Saudi Arabia.
