West Ham made it three wins from three in their Europa Conference League group on Thursday night.

David Moyes’ men travelled to Belgium and carved out a 1-0 victory over Anderlecht.

With the sides locked in a stalemate, the Scottish manager made what improved to be an inspired double substitution.

Ten minutes after coming onto the pitch Lucas Paqueta turned provider for Gianluca Scamacca who continued his hot streak.

The Brazilian certainly made a difference following his introduction and as he strutted his stuff, Cresswell could only watch on in admiration from the sideline.

As posted on West Ham’s Twitter account, the full-back reacted lovingly to an exquisite touch from Paqueta.

Following his first goal involvement in a claret and blue shirt, it is certainly exciting for the Hammers’ fans to see their club-record signing brimming with confidence.

The £51m summer arrival came in off the back of registering 11 goals and seven assists last season at Lyon but has took his time finding his feet in east London.

However, in just over 20 minutes of action in Belgium, he proved what he can bring to the table.

The 34-cap Brazil star was one of three away players to create a big chance, he drew two fouls, made one interception and won three duels according to SofaScore.

Paqueta was likely rotated by Moyes ahead of Sunday’s visit of Fulham and would be expected to return to the starting XI for that fixture.

Fans will certainly be hoping he can now carry that form into the weekend and start to produce in the Premier League.
