Alasdair Gold has revealed that Antonio Conte dropped an interesting injury update midweek after Tottenham Hotspur’s Champions League victory.

Spurs did indeed survive a late scare on Wednesday night as they got past Eintracht Frankfurt 3-2 despite conceding late on as well as seeing the usually ever-reliable Harry Kane blaze a penalty over the bar.

That result sees Tottenham sit top of their group, but it didn’t come without its drawbacks as Conte seemingly told BT Sport that Richarlison had a slight knock after the game, although failed to mention that to the rest of the media, according to Gold.

Conte did drop an injury update as Gold spoke on his YouTube channel about, how the Italian confirmed everyone was fine, including Dejan Kulusevski, but a question mark does remain over Richarlison.

(23:48) “Interestingly, after the game, he kind of gave a little bit of some mixed news about fitness and this was only in his interview with BT Sport, he said Richarlison had a good game he had a problem with his knee I hope it’s nothing serious for Saturday’s game with Everton, we should have Kulusevski for that game, he’s an important option for us, he’s vital.

“Which was interesting, because in the press conference, he said completely the opposite well, not completely opposite, but he said that everyone was available pretty much for the game against Everton.

“So I don’t know, that means one of two things, either he forgot about Richarlison or in the intervening time between his BT Sport interview and coming into the press conference, which would have been about 20 minutes, someone maybe just came up to him and said Richy is fine, it could be either way.”

TIF Thoughts on Richarlison potentially being injured…

It would be a major blow for both Richarlison and Conte if the Brazilian was to be injured for the game at the weekend as he would miss out on the chance to play against his former club Everton, and Conte would also lose a great option either from the start or off the bench.

If Richarliosn is indeed out or even a doubt for the game then Conte will be thinking how unlucky can he get because just as Kulusevski returns from injury, one of his other attackers picks up a knock and is now longer available.
