Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka will stay at the club and sign a new deal in the future.

That is according to CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs, who was speaking on the latest instalment of the Done Deal Show.

According to Football.London, Arsenal have the option to trigger a clause to extend the contracts of Saka and William Saliba by a year, as well as a two year option for Gabriel Martinelli’s current deal.

The 21-year-old England international has two-years left on his current contract before the extension is triggered.

And Jacobs believes that there is no chance that Saka leaves Arsenal and doesn’t sign a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.

“I would say there is a 100% chance, it is definite that Saka will stay at Arsenal and will sign a new deal,” Jacobs told the Done Deal Show.

TIF Thoughts on Jacobs’ comments

We believe that Arsenal fans will be delighted to hear Jacobs suggest with some confidence that Saka will be staying in north London for the foreseeable future.

The 20-time England international has been an integral part of the side since his installation to the senior squad, and proved his worth last season after scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists in 43 games, according to Transfermarkt.

He is a menace to for full-backs to deal with and ranks in the top 6% of attacking midfielders/wingers across Europe’s top five leagues and European competition for touches in the opposition penalty area per 90 mins (7.12) and the top 15% for progressive carries per 90 (8.15) over the last 365 days, according to FBref.

Therefore, we think that the Gunners academy product is too much of an asset for Arsenal to lose in the near future, and Arsenal fans will be delighted that the London-born wide man is likely to be around for the foreseeable future.
