YouTuber Conor McGilligan has praised ‘slick’ Leeds United winger Luis Sinisterra after his recent transfer.

Over the summer, the Whites spent a reported £21m on the Colombian as he arrived from Dutch outfit Feyenoord, having penned a five-year contract at Elland Road.

Having sold key man Raphinha to Barcelona in the same transfer window, expectations have been high on the new man to come in and make a difference.

And so far, it seems as though he is doing a pretty good job for Leeds. Indeed, when talking about the player on the One Leeds Fan Channel, McGilligan had plenty of positive things to say about Sinisterra and even labelled one of his recent goals as ‘Paul Gascoigne-esque’.

He explained: “Luis Sinisterra is almost cultured. He’s almost slick. He’s almost, no sweat off the brow when he’s doing these things.

“He’s literally scored a Paul Gascoigne-esque goal against Brentford, and annoyingly, because of Leeds’s diabolical defensive display, we weren’t able to really appreciate what he did to Brentford that day when it came to that goal.

“That was a fabulous goal. The goal against Everton, out of nothing, left foot, fantastic finish. He’s going to be a real player, everyone.”

TIF Thoughts on Luis Sinisterra and Leeds…

With three goals and one assist in only 242 minutes of playing time for his new side so far, it’s not hard to see why Sinisterra has earned such high praise.

And that goal against Brentford, where he flicked the ball over a defender before finishing with great quality, certainly did have shades of Gascoigne’s strike against Scotland back in 1996.

Taking it all into account, it certainly has been an exciting start to life in the Premier League for the Colombian, especially when you remember that he’s started just twice in the league.

No doubt, manager Jesse Marsch will be hoping there is even more to come from the club’s new star winger.
