YouTuber Mark Goldbridge has claimed that Manchester United are confident they can sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer.

Manchester United bought Wan-Bissaka from in 2019 for £50m, and last term, he was out of favour for the Red Devils, making just 20 top-flight appearances.

With Wan-Bissaka being out of favour, he has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer, and the club that are most strongly rumoured to be interested in him are his former side, Crystal Palace.

Whilst speaking on The United Stand YouTube channel, Goldbridge claimed that he has been told United are confident they can offload Wan-Bissaka.

He said: “I’ve been told, in May, United were looking for a right-back if they could sell Wan-Bissaka and they’re confident they can sell him, which led me to believe we’ve got a buyer. It’s Crystal Palace.

“Crystal Palace want to buy Wan-Bissaka, [United] have got a buyer, the problem is the price.”

TIF Thoughts on Goldbridge’s comments…

While Palace are reportedly being the club interested in Wan-Bissaka, it would be great business from them either way, because the fee is expected to be way less than the £50m United paid for him, meaning they would be making a hefty profit on him even if they were to buy him back.

However, there have been reports stating that Palace are not interested in re-signing Wan Bissaka this summer, due to them acquiring Chris Richards from Bayern Munich and already having suitable cover in that area of the pitch, so we wonder if the Eagles have already moved on.

Wan-Bissaka still has two years left on his current contract, so United might not be in any particular rush to cash in on him yet, but as time goes by and his contract edges closer to expiring, they might be keen on actively looking for a suitor to ensure that they can get some money for him.
