TalkSport man Jamie O’Hara has tipped Leeds United boss to be fired during the upcoming Premier League campaign after losing two key men this summer.

The Yorkshire club has been busy so far in this summer transfer window by selling two-star players in Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha and replacing them with the likes of Brenden Aaronson, Marc Roca, Tyler Adams and Luis Sinisterra so far.

However, the club struggled to stay up last season with their two key men and O’Hara believes they will again with their ‘nobody’ signings and claims manager Jesse Marsch will lose his job as a result of this.

He said on TalkSport: “Leeds now have lost Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha, they’re in big trouble.

“They’re signing nobodies. They’re in big trouble, they’ve got star players, and their two best players are gone. I think Jesse Marsch is going to get the sack.”

TIF Thoughts on O’Hara’s comments…

It is no secret that Leeds could face a daunting struggle this season after losing their best two players and replacing them all with players who have no experience in the Premier League, with them coming from the Austrian and German Bundesliga, as well as the Eredivisie.

Marsch has a job on his hands to keep the Yorkshire side in the Premier League and he will now have to do so without the likes of Kalvin Phillips, who ranked in the 98th percentile for pressures and the 97th for tackles compared to other midfielders in the top five leagues, and Raphinha who topped the Leeds scoring charts last season with 11 goals.

They still have a lot of money to work with after their recent departures, but Marsch will have to get these spot on if they are to replace the output of Raphinha and Phillips. If not, it will be hard to see him finishing off the season in the job.
