Journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Everton could be set for a boost amid their interest in Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Already in the transfer market, the Toffees have been reported to have a keen interest in signing the Manchester City man, and it looks as though that deal could hinge on a domino effect occurring.
Indeed, Romano has explained that if City can sign Brighton & Hove Albion defender Marc Cucurella, Everton may then be free to make their move.
Talking about it all on his YouTube channel, the journalist revealed his understanding of how the situation could play out in the coming weeks.
He said: “Marc Cucurella is the player that Manchester City want and Pep Guardiola wants.
“And then, Zinchenko [is] part of the domino. because if Cucurella arrives, Zinchenko has [a] very good chance to leave Manchester City this summer, with Everton really, really keen on signing him. Frank Lampard is a big fan.”

TIF Thoughts on Oleksandr Zinchenko and Everton…
Zinchenko certainly looks to be a wanted man this summer, with the likes of Arsenal and West Ham United linked with a move for the left-back in recent times as well.
Following this latest update, those clubs, as well as Everton, may well be keeping a careful watch on the situation regarding City and Cucurella. Fortunately, it does look as though Guardiola is really keen on the defender, with The Guardian reporting that the Premier League champions will make their move soon.
If that does happen, it could be the domino that falls to offer up Lampard an opportunity to sign his preferred summer target.
