Journalist Charles Watts has revealed that Arsenal should officially announce the transfer of Fabio Vieira early this week.

In a big transfer update for the Gunners recently, Porto publicly stated that they had agreed to sell their player to the Premier League club for a €40m (£34.26m) price tag.

Despite this news, Arsenal have yet to officially share the news with their own fans and so many are still waiting on that exciting announcement.

However, while speaking on his own YouTube channel, Watts claimed that supporters won’t have to wait much longer, with Vieira’s unveiling set to happen in the coming days.

The journalist explained: “There was a slight chance it could come over the weekend, but someone I was speaking to on Friday was suggesting it’d be sort of early next week.

“So it could be tomorrow [Monday], could be Tuesday. We’ll have to wait and see.”

TIF Thoughts on Fabio Vieira and Arsenal…

Interestingly enough, it seems as though someone who works for the Premier League is extremely certain that Vieira will be an Arsenal player soon enough, with the player’s profile already appearing on the division’s official website before being removed.

After Watts’ latest claim, it does look as though this news will be announced in the very near future. Supporters of the club should be pretty excited.

Indeed, with six goals and 14 assists in the league for Porto last term, Vieira seems to have the potential to make a big difference for the Gunners next term.

With this deal seemingly in the bag, fans can now sit back and relax – or rather get anxious about the next possible player to join their club.
