Journalist Dean Jones has claimed to This Is Futbol that Antonio Conte is hopeful that he will get everything that he wants in the summer.

In the January transfer window, Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur made two signings in the form of Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski. Both players have had positive impacts, with the Argentine featuring 16 times in the Premier League and the Swede scoring three times and assisting eight times.

With the impact that the two January signings have had at Spurs this season, this could mean that the board put their trust in Conte in the summer, and give him a significant budget to invest further in the summer.

Spurs currently sit 4th in the Premier League, and are on the brink of qualifying for the Champions League, and whilst speaking with This Is Futbol, Jones claimed that there is a feeling that Conte is 100% committed to the club.

Jones said: “I do believe that right now, he feels like he’s 100% committed to Tottenham because things are going well.

“He’s hopeful that in the summer, he gets everything he wants. There’s more reason now for Tottenham to do that because he’s leading them on the right path. And I get the feeling, with what Conte has created in the last couple of months and the feelgood factors there that actually there is a chance he stays longer than some people suspected.”

TIF Thoughts on Jones’s comments…

Of course, with Antonio Conte’s future still an uncertain topic, it will come as a huge relief for the Italian to be allegedly focused on the future and building for a Champions League campaign, should Spurs get the job done.

Tottenham are in pole position to secure Champions League status for next season, a draw in their last game against Norwich will be enough to beat their rivals to the fourth spot.

If Spurs do qualify for the Champions League, then it is likely that we will see some talented new faces come in the door at the club, who have experience in the competition, as Conte will want to do well in it, whilst improving in the Premier League.
