Leeds United fan and presenter Joe Wainman has sent a worrying message to players and fans as footage of players celebrating resurfaced.

Leeds fans and players alike will be nervously watching on this evening as their two relegation rivals, Burnley and Everton, play their games in hand.

A win for the Toffees will secure their status in the Premier League for another season, while the Clarets will leapfrog the Whites with a point.

Are you confident Leeds will stay up?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

The Whites don’t play until the final day of the season on Sunday when they travel to Brentford, who have only lost twice in their last 10 games, in a run that has included wins against Chelsea and West Ham United, although the game will likely have an extra edge to it from their time spent in the Championship together.

A video has recently re-emerged of Stuart Dallas and Liam Cooper singing ‘Mind the gap, Thomas Frank’, but the Brentford boss has admitted he doesn’t do mind games ahead of the match.

However, Wainman believes the video is a painful reminder of the brutal nature of football, as he tweeted: “This will kill us, but honestly, it’s what football is about. You have your moments and know how quickly they can turn around so just enjoy it for what it is.”

TIF Thoughts on Leeds’ clash against Brentford…

This was a low point in Leeds United's history, but how many points did they get in the 2003/04 campaign?

It is rather ironic that Leeds players were telling Brentford to mind the gap, only for the Bees to now be 11 points ahead of them and have the chance to send them back down into the Championship after just two seasons. It seems Wainman is only too aware of how the video could come back to haunt them by full-time on Sunday.

Life has certainly come at Leeds fast, with the club enjoying last campaign and finishing a lofty ninth, but now they are just one point above the drop zone and will have a nervy 90 minutes away to Brentford as their fate may not even be in their own hands.
