Insider ExWHUemployee has revealed that West Ham United are planning something ‘special’ when Mark Noble retires.

The club captain has already announced he will hang up his boots at the end of the season and could well end up in a sporting or technical director role in the near future.

Before all that is decided, however, there is the small matter of affording the icon – who has made over 500 appearances for West Ham across 17 years – a proper send-off.

Will Mark Noble end up as a future West Ham manager?

While discussing that on The West Ham Way podcast, Ex stated that the player’s final home game, which will take place on Sunday, 15th May against Manchester City, should be a brilliant occasion.

He explained: “The club have special things prepared for the Noble game.

“There’s gonna be lots of ex-players, there are going to be coaches that have developed him, things like that. It’s going to be a real special day.

“It’s going to go on around the match as well. So there’ll be a presentation after the game for him, it’ll be a really good occasion.”

TIF Thoughts on Mark Noble and West Ham…

Known to those around the club as Mr West Ham, Noble truly deserves a great send-off for the service he has given the club over the years.

Sadly, though, he has never lifted a trophy with the club. However, this could all change with the Hammers into the latter stages of the Europa League. They face a semi-final against Eintracht Frankfurt and if they win that, the final will take place in Seville on 18th May.

With that in mind, Noble could potentially win his first trophy on his last appearance for the club, which would be an incredible way to end an incredible career.

Still, even if he doesn’t quite get that fairytale ending, it sounds as though he’ll enjoy something special back in east London in the Premier League regardless.
