Fabrizio Romano has been speaking on the Que Golazo YouTube channel about Declan Rice’s West Ham United future.

Rice has very quickly become a West Ham and England regular as well as being the stand-in captain this season, with Mark Noble sitting on the sidelines for the majority of the campaign in what will be his final season as a Hammers player.

Should West Ham sell Rice this summer?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

While Rice’s performances and ability have helped West Ham propel up the Premier League table and become contenders for the Champions League and Europa League spots, this naturally attracts attention from clubs higher up the league, specifically Manchester United and Manchester City, in this case.

Romano has revealed that the West Ham board are convinced Rice won’t be leaving this summer – although it’s not all good news.

“They still think that Declan Rice will be at the club this summer, and this has been the position for West Ham.

“So they’re convinced that he’s untouchable this summer, but what I’m saying is that from what I’m told, Declan Rice has no intention to sign a new deal, even if they will improve the proposal.”

Romano recently reported that Rice had turned down yet another contract proposal from West Ham – something that David Moyes didn’t take very well in one of his press conferences, jokingly labelling the Italian journalist a ‘one of the local boys’ in a way to poke fun at the report.

However, with this now being the third offer that Rice has turned down, it is becoming very difficult to see a future where Rice extends his contract and isn’t sold by West Ham for big money in the future, whether that be this summer or next year.
