Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele’s future is likely to be up in the air again during the summer after the conclusion of his loan deal.
This is according to Spurs correspondent Alasdair Gold, who was speaking on his YouTube channel about the ‘mixed noises coming out of France’.

Ndombele departed north London in January for his former side Lyon on a short-term loan which is set to expire at the end of the 2021/22 campaign.
Since making the move earlier in the year, the Frenchman has made eight appearances for the Ligue 1 side across all competitions without scoring but having provided two assists, including in his last game in Lyon’s weekend win over Angers.
It is believed Lyon have the option to buy Ndombele at the end of the loan deal, however, Gold feels the French side may look to secure another loan for the 25-year-old.
He said: “Some mixed noises coming out of France over whether that’s going to be something that’s going to be extended next year, so we may have the whole Tanguy situation in the summer again. I reckon Lyon would like another loan, personally, but we’ll see what happens.”

We do not think many Spurs fans will be saddened to see the back of Ndombele when he eventually does depart given how well the club is now faring without him.
There was a clear lack of creativity earlier in the season with Spurs, however, the Lilywhites have now turned that around and have been scoring for fun in recent weeks.
The only concern we think the club will have over the midfielder is potentially taking a big loss for the man who was their record transfer signing.
Ndombele will have three years remaining on his contract at the end of the season and if he was to spend a season away on loan – leaving him with two years left – it could prove to be a significant financial hit for Spurs if they do look to sell him at that point.
