Tottenham Hotspur scout David Pleat is believed to have attended a Championship game on Monday afternoon with two potential targets in mind.

This was initially reported by BBC man David Burns, who claimed the former manager – who advises the club on transfer targets – will likely have had an eye on Keane Lewis-Potter and Jacob Greaves.

And speaking on the Hammers Chat YouTube channel, presenter Geo discussed the expectation for both Hull City players to potentially be playing Premier League football next season.

Spurs have been linked with Lewis-Potter in recent months, with the youngster impressing for the Tigers this season, having scored nine and assisted four goals in the league.

Reporter Burns also claimed Pleat may have also had an eye on young centre-back Greaves, who has racked up 42 appearances in the Championship alone this season.

With a number of key figures believed to have been in attendance of Hull’s recent game at Millwall, Geo noted Pleat’s visit, as well as highlighting the expectations for the Hull youngsters.

He said: “The ones to take note of – Jacob Greaves is the Hull centre-back. Now, I don’t know loads about him, 20 years old and he’s sort of held in high regard. I think there’s an expectation that he will be playing Premier League football, possibly even next season.

“It’s a bit like the Joe Rodon thing, which is a case of who’s going to move first? Someone’s going to go get him and Tottenham are the one that’s linked to him a lot.

“Now, it’s worth noting that also at the game today was one of Tottenham’s chief scouts, David Pleat, he was at the game as well.”

TIF Thoughts on Geo’s comments…

This should certainly interest Spurs fans given they have missed out on talents to come out of Hull in the past who have gone on to make a name for themselves in the Premier League.

And that player in question is Jarrod Bowen. West Ham United were able to snap up the winger, who was heavily linked with a potential move to north London back in 2020.

Bowen has gone on to become one of the Hammers’ standout talents and we wonder whether Spurs fear missing out again, with West Ham also linked to the duo from Humberside.
