Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero has sent Paulo Dybala a light-hearted message via Instagram after the Juventus man has been linked to Spurs.

Paulo Dybala has been heavily linked to Spurs ahead of the summer transfer window, as his contract is set to expire at the end of the season and he is not preparing to extend his stay with Juventus.

Dybala has featured regularly for Juventus this campaign, he has made 21 Serie A appearances, whilst contributing with eight goals and five assists, (according to Transfermarkt) but he may be seeking a new challenge in the Premier League next season.

Cristian Romero is an international teammate with Paulo Dybala for Argentina, and Spurs are linked with the 28-year-old, so Romero sending a message to Dybala on Instagram, may have got the Tottenham faithful excited. The comment from Romero translates to, “I like the other cut better.”

TIF Thoughts on Paulo Dybala to Spurs…

Paulo Dybala has been a consistent performer for Juventus over the past seven seasons, he has made 283 appearances, whilst scoring 113 and assisting 48 times, as per Transfermarkt. In this campaign, he has produced impressive performances for his side, he has an average player rating of 7.55 over his last five league games, has an average of 3.6 shots per game, and has an average passing accuracy of 85% per game, as per Sofascore.

Antonio Conte currently has Harry Kane Heung min-Son and Dejan Kulusevski as a deadly front three, and Paulo Dybala could but the final piece to the quadrant for the Italian boss next season and they look to push on and cement their place in the Champions League.

As Dybala already has a connection with Cristian Romero, this may make the deal easier for Conte to get over the line as the Argentine defender will make it easier for the attacker to settle in at the club, after he has been comfortable in the same surroundings for the last seven years.
