Do you know Spurs' former academy players? Which former Burnley player used to play for Spurs' academy?

This is according to sports journalist Dean Jones, who has spoken to This Is Futbol after the rumours are increasing of a move away from Tottenham for Kane.

Kane has been heavily linked with a move away from north London in the summer with the main club concerned being Manchester United. The talks have come after Mauricio Pochettino has been linked with the manager role at Old Trafford, and the pair have a strong connection from their time at Spurs together.

The England captain has been in impressive form recently for Spurs, he has scored seven goals and got three assists in his last seven games in the Premier League, which has been a massive turnaround, after he scored just five goals in the opening 21 Premier League games, as per Transfermarkt.

After the news that Kane could be leaving Spurs in the summer, Jones said that while Mendes won’t exactly be finding a striker for Spurs, the big agents should be pushing players in their direction as they potentially seek an immediate replacement for the England skipper.

“What will be happening, though, is that you know, as a big agent, you would look at the situation, know that there is a possibility of Kane leaving, and so you want to be ready to push players in that direction so that you can make the most of a golden opportunity.”

TIF Thoughts on Jones’ comments…

Kane has been Spurs’ main man upfront for the last eight seasons, so it will interesting to see how a Tottenham side will look without him leading the lineup top if he was to exit in the summer.

The England skipper’s recent good form is what may have sparked the interest of Manchester United, as it has been a reminder of the form that he is capable of.

Although Spurs may receive a significant sum for Kane if he was to depart, to then invest in another striker, Antonio Conte will certainly be keen to keep him at the club, whatever the cost, and will only let him go if he has to.
