Journalist Dean Jones has claimed that the Leeds United squad love new boss Jesse Marsch after the turnaround he has made at the club.

Leeds were in a horrid state of form before the arrival of Marsch, in February they broke the record for the most goals conceded (20) in a calendar month, which lead to the sacking of Marcelo Bielsa, and just 24 hours later the American manager was introduced.

Marsch has managed to turnaround the form of Leeds in recent times after losing his first two games in charge. They are now three games unbeaten with two wins and a draw and currently sit six points above the drop zone on 31 points.

After the recent performances from Leeds, Dean Jones highlighted to GIVEMESPORT how much the dressing room loves their new boss, because of the morale boost that his introduction has given the players.

“Everybody in that dressing room loves the vibe. They love the turnaround he’s been able to produce in terms of morale and personality,” Jones said.

TIF Thoughts on Dean Jones’ comments…

Marcelo Bielsa was sacked on the back of a torrid last month in charge, but Leeds’s poor form was largely down to the severity of the injuries that his squad has had. Key players such as Kalvin Phillips, Patrick Bamford, and Liam Cooper have all had lengthy periods on the side-line.

Patrick Bamford made a return to action but was forced off against Wolves with an injury that is likely to see him out for the rest of the season. Whilst Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips saw a return to action in Leeds’ recent fixture against Southampton.

With the key players returning, this has given the squad a boost, and mixed with the arrival of new boss Jesse Marsch, the morale is seemingly high in the camp at Elland Road.

Although, there appeared to already be a good vibe behind-the-scenes at Leeds with Liam Cooper now a real leader behind the scenes and the likes of Rodrigo and Kalvin Phillips have also played a part.
