Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min and director of football Fabio Paratici have formed a good relationship behind the scenes at Hotspur Way.

That is according to Alasdair Gold who was speaking on his YouTube channel after the north Londoners’ recent win on the weekend.

Has Paratici done a good job so far?

The South Korean impressed in the win against West Ham United as he netted twice in the 3-1 win over their London rivals to earn three big points.

Gold revealed the Italian director of football gave the Spurs winger a big hug at full time following his display which saw the journalist award the 29-year-old with a 9/10 rating.

And the Spurs correspondent claims the pair have formed a great relationship at Hotspur Way with the two often seen chatting at length around the Spurs training centre:

(22:00) “Fabio Paratici actually gave him [Son] a big hug and was talking away to him at the final whistle as well. Paratici and Son are always doing that. There’s lots of videos and photos you see of them around the training ground having chats. A really interesting one, but I don’t know where that relationship seems to come out of somewhere as well.”

TIF Thoughts on Gold’s comments…

This will likely come to the delight of the Spurs fans who will be glad to hear of healthy relationships behind the scenes at a time when Antonio Conte needs everyone on board to land a spot in the top four.

It will be encouraging to hear of Paratici’s involvement at Hotspur Way given there have been rumours speculating the Italian’s future may lie elsewhere with Paris Saint-Germain said to be interested.

And it seems the director of football is settling into his role in north London with his two recent purchases, Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentacur, slotting straight into Conte’s XI with both making a huge early impression.
