Journalist Dean Jones has claimed that Ruben Neves could be set for an exit away from Molineux if Wolves do not qualify for Europe.

Ruben Neves has been a mainstay in the Wolves side this season having featured in 28 Premier League games whilst scoring four goals and registering two assists, according to Transfermarkt.

Ruben Neves has been heavily linked with a move away from Wolves with Arsenal showing the most interest, but if his current side do end up qualifying for Europe, then that could just seal his future at Molineux.

Interestingly, Dean Jones spoke to GIVEMESPORT and claimed that Neves is “too good” not to be playing in a European competition, with an exit on the cards if Europe isn’t achieved.

“I think they have to qualify for Europe to keep hold of Ruben Neves any longer because he’s too good to just be playing domestic football at this point,” Jones said.

TIF Thoughts on Ruben Neves…

Ruben Neves has been nothing short of superb for his side this campaign which has seen him rank as the club’s third highest rated player (6.95). And, his performances have gone to another level in recent times as he’s achieved a 7.4 player rating or higher in four of his last five Premier League games, as per Sofascore.

The Portuguese international has a remarkable average of 73.5 touches per game, has been involved in two teams of the week, and has an average of 2.3 tackles per game this season.

So, if Neves’ future really does ride on a European place then the latest news regarding him certainly won’t help as he’s now set to be out until May in what will come as a huge blow for Wolves.
