BBC 5 Live contributor and Celtic fan Dominik Diamond has been reacting as footage has emerged from their recent victory at the weekend.

Celtic maintained their push towards the title in Scotland after a 3-1 win at the weekend thanks to goals from Daizen Maeda and James Forrest either side of an own goal from Nicky Devlin, which were enough to see them through on the day and make sure that their lead at the top of the table remained at three points.

However, something happened after the game that has appeared to have garnered some attention online, as goalkeeper Joe Hart and manager Ange Postecoglou were involved in a couple of heartwarming moments with a couple of the Celtic supporters.

As the players went over to celebrate with the travelling party, footage that emerged on Twitter showed a number of supporters had run onto the pitch to show their support for the team.

However, rather than causing any trouble, Hart calmly escorted one young girl off the pitch and back to the stands, whilst Postecoglou posed for a selfie with another before carrying on to show his appreciation to the rest of the travelling support.

Diamond relayed the video on Twitter alongside the message: “Joe Hart. Ange Postecoglou. They get it.”:

It certainly was a nice moment and just goes to show the progress that is being made at the club recently.

For instance, whilst there weren’t supporters allowed in last year due to the pandemic, the atmosphere that would have greeted the Celtic players and staff whilst they were going through their rough patch last season would have been remarkably different indeed.

Whether or not this season ends up being a success for Celtic regarding the league, having already wrapped up the League Cup, you imagine that the good times really are back at Celtic Park, and a lot of that is down to the work that Postecoglou has done in turning the club around.
