Celtic defender Christopher Jullien has dropped a hint that he might be involved for their game tonight in the Scottish Premiership.

The French defender had been away from the Celtic side since December 2020 when he suffered a pretty serious injury to his knee.

He was pretty much a regular in the side before his injury occurred, but he’s been forced to watch from the sidelines in recent months.

And whilst Jullien has managed to play for the club once this season on his return from injury when he came off the bench to play in the final few minutes of their recent Scottish Cup clash against Raith Rovers, it looks as if a true return to the first team could be on the way.

Posting on his Instagram Story, he relayed a screenshot of a post that the club’s official page had put out showing a number of players getting ready for their game against St. Mirren at Celtic Park. The shot was noteworthy because it showed him all smiles on the training ground, which could be a hint that he is in line for a place in the squad:

Coming back and being involved in a league game – even if it is another appearance off the bench – would be a huge step for Jullien in his recovery process and could be an indicator that he is ready to become a regular for the side once again between now and the end of the season.

Whether or not that appearance comes tonight, we’ll have to wait and see, but it certainly does seem like his return to league action could well be coming sooner rather than later.
