Journalist Pete O’Rourke has claimed that Wolves will be keen to tie in-form Max Kilman down to a new contract at Molineux.

Kilman has been a mainstay in the Wolves side this campaign as he has started in all 27 of his side’s Premier League games so far this season, according to Transfermarkt.

Kilman has attracted attention from Premier League giants after his impressive performances this season for Wolves, with the main club concerned being Chelsea.

And following Wolves tying Pedro Neto down to a new deal until 2027 earlier this week, O’Rourke spoke to GiveMeSport claiming that Wolves will also be keen to sign Kilman to a new deal following the interest in him from other clubs.

He said: “He’s on a long contract until 2026, Wolves would like to extend that even further if they can, just with all this interest that’s coming around Kilman right now.

“And if he does end up getting into the England squad and making his England debut, it’s just going to increase his profile even more and should bring other suitors to the table as well.”

TIF Thoughts on Max Kilman…

Last campaign for Wolves, Kilman played a more sporadic role, as he featured just 18 times in the Premier League, but this campaign, he has come to life and been one of his side’s key players. In his last five Premier League games, he has an average match rating of 7.01 as awarded to him by SofaScore.

Kilman has been a rock at the back for Bruno Lage this season, as he has helped his side to only concede 23 goals in 27 league games – only the sides that sit in the top three have conceded fewer.

The 24-year-old defender has been linked with a call-up to the England national team after his fine performances this season. This combined with his signature being on the radar of Chelsea, Lage will be keen to sign him to a new deal to either ensure his services in the long term at Molineux or so they can get a suitable fee for him.
