Journalist Alasdair Gold has said that Tottenham Hotspur director Fabio Paratici doesn’t seem ‘desperate’ to sign rumoured target Paulo Dybala.
According to some recent reports in Italian media, the Spurs executive is said to be a big fan of the Juventus forward and will try and sign him this summer when his contract expires.
However, while speaking on his YouTube channel, Gold revealed that his information has made Paratici’s interest seem a little less enthusiastic, but he did add that it is certainly something to ‘keep an eye on’.
Gold explained: “I’ve seen some reporters say Fabio Paratici is a huge fan and wants him desperately. From kind of what I’ve been hearing, I don’t know if he is that desperate to sign him.
“I mean, it may come down to whether Conte really wants him. If Conte does, maybe they push that bit harder, I do think Champions League football would play a big role as well.
“And sometimes, these players, they prefer to stay in the country they’ve been playing in. He may want to just stay in Italy, I think there’s been some talk that potentially he could.
“Yeah, keep an eye on that one.”

Tottenham’s links to the Argentine seem to have been going on for some time now, dating back to 2019, and just won’t go away. Of course, Dybala’s future will have to be decided this summer as his contract expires, so it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

However, if Gold’s information is true, it looks as though Paratici may not necessarily push the boat out to make this deal happen for Spurs in the summer.
