Image for Tottenham Hotspur: Worrying injury image emerges of Dejan Kulusevski

Tottenham Hotspur supporters will not have liked what they saw on Twitter on Thursday evening as images emerged of Dejan Kulusevski’s injury.

The Swedish international was playing against the Czech Republic on Thursday and suffered a serious clash of heads which left the Spurs ace with a nasty-looking swelling on his face.

Has Kulusevski been Paratici's best buy?

Janne Andersson’s men prevailed in the World Cup qualifier thanks to a late goal from Robin Quaison in extra time to see them move a step closer to securing their spot in Qatar.

However, the images to emerge on Twitter did not look great for the Spurs winger, with his left cheek immediately swelling up – which will likely have seen him undergo tests following the game.

There will be an obvious concern for concussion due to the nature of the head clash and the 21-year-old will be hoping he has not broken his cheekbone.

TIF Thoughts on the images…

This will have come as a big concern to Spurs fans because of the electric start Kulusevski has made to life in north London since joining in January.

The Swedish winger has already netted two goals and provided four assists for Spurs ahead of their important Premier League run-in, with a spot in the top four on their radar – he would surely be a huge loss to Antonio Conte’s XI.

And it may provide Spurs fans with some optimism to know their winger was able to continue playing for the rest of the game and was not one of the six Sweden players to be substituted.
