Bruno Guimaraes is putting in extra work away from the pitch as he’s posted a video on his Instagram.
Bruno Guimaraes is starting to show why Newcastle decided to shell out £40 million for him in January over the last two matches having netted the winner against Southampton and then helped keep a Chelsea side quiet for the majority of the match.
Will Newcastle win a trophy next season?
Guimaraes had to bide his time with the trio of Jonjo Shelvey, Joe Willock and Joelinton forming a formidable relationship in midfield but with the three of them out for the last match, it would be difficult for Howe to drop Guimaraes.
Not just for his performances, but also the fact that he’s dedicated to the cause which has been highlighted on his Instagram with the midfielder putting additional work in the gym away from the pitch.
TIF Thoughts on Guimaraes…
Having arrived with a big reputation, experience of playing in both the Champions League and Europa League as well as having a £40 million price tag on him, it could have been easy for Guimaraes to let his ability and name carry him through the season, but the fact he’s wanting to do work away from the training ground shows the type of player he is.
Howe will be delighted to see that he’s seemingly signed a great player and character in Guimaraes as other players will know they’ll have to up their game to reach his level of commitment and talent, which will only improve the entire squad.
